General characteristics:
Indelval rubber floorings have their own characteristics, the most relevant being:

Durability: they were designed to last. Their resilience against abrasion (see values on technical diagram) allow them to withstand rough wear.
 
Sound absorption: the acoustic characteristics of rubber contribute to reduce sound transmission and vibration  in a closed environment, turning it into a pleasant one.
 
Electrical behaviour: there are two major groups in Indelval products: anti-static and conductive floorings (see technical diagrams and annex: Conductive Systems)

Thermal isolators: due to their nature, rubber floorings are excellent thermal isolators, which tend to help create a nice climate throughout the year. This characteristic helps maintain environment thermic inertia, reducing the use of heating and/or cooling systems.

Anti-slip: due to rubber inherent properties, Indelval rubber floorings have a high coefficient of friction, which makes them safe in places like stairs, walkways, ramps and every place where sliding control is needed.

Cigarette burns resistance: they are not significantly damaged  by lighted cigarette butts. Only a slight stain can be caused and it’s easily removed by conventional cleaning.

Low maintenance cost: they are perfect for demanding performance without special care. Their smooth, non-porous finishing, makes maintenance easy and low-cost. (see Maintenance)

Comfortable: Rubber floorings are elastic and flexible. Their resilience properties make them particularly comfortable to work, to be standing or walk.

Chemicals resistant: they are fit for laboratories, surgery rooms and hospitals for their great resistance to acids, alcalis and aggresive chemical products.

Impact resistance: they are particularly resistant to impact and heavy objects due to their flexibility.

Dimensional stability: Indelval floorings are stable and dilate or contract as the sub-floor does.

Fire resistant: it makes them  very safe as they are self extinguishing. When a fire occurs they do not spread the flames nor melt. No corrosive gases, dioxins or furans are produced. When there is smoke, it is of low density, which allows a fast evacuation of the place.

Free of PVC: our floorings are manufactured with high quality rubber and other components and they do not contain PVC, phtalates, asbestos nor organoclhorine compounds.

Hygienic: they are perfect for hospitals, kindergartens and old people´s homes due to their smooth and non-porous surface which rejects dust and dirt and also reduces mites and bacteriae proliferation.

Environmentally compatible: they are made to last for decades, which minimizes the contamination when they are discarded and can be thrown into sanitary fills for they do not produce dioxines, formaldehyde, halogen freon or chlorhydric acid.
